POLICY, TERMS & CONDITIONS OF TRADE

These policy, terms and conditions shall act as the basis of all transactions between Glow Studios Make-Up and its clients or prospective clients.  

The manufacturer and/or service provider is Glow Studios, ABN 72 689 308 982 and where the words “we”, “us”, or “our” are used in this policy, terms and conditions of trade, will from herein be referred to as Glow Studios.  

2.Copyright – All photos, illustrations, diagrams and text on our website remain the copyright of Glow Studios. All rights reserved. No part of this website may be reproduced in whole or part or stored without prior written consent and permission. Any infringement of these will be vigorously pursued.

3.Prices and Payment – All fixed prices are in AUD and include GST. All prices are subject to alteration without prior notice however, all bookings made will guarantee the current price. A 50% holding deposit is mandatory upon confirmation of your booking, of which is non-refundable upon cancellation. We accept cash only if paying the balance on the actual day of the booking, however cheque or money order is accepted if payment is arranged prior to the booking date. All cheques and money orders can be made payable to Glow Studios. Personal cheques that are dishonoured will be brought to the attention of the customer and will incur a $25 fee payable immediately once notified.

4.Trials – Trial bookings are at the convenience of Glow Studios and the client, usually on weekends, and held in our studio unless agreed otherwise. Trials are recommended and take up to 2 hours or there about and involves a consultation and make-up application. It is our policy at Glow Studios that trial bookings are one-on-one only, and without accompanying guests. Any guests attending will be advised to return on completion of trial appointment. A general consultation to discuss ideas and without make-up application will still incur a fee of $25 per thirty minutes, and is payable at the time of consultation. This fee is for our time. Glow Studios reserve the right to reschedule trial bookings at any time, in which you will be notified. Products and techniques used at the trial will be noted, and repeated upon further bookings unless instructed otherwise by the client.

5.Products – The main brand of product used by Glow Studios is KRYOLAN. Some other brands also used are Laura Mercier, M.A.C., Napoleon Perdis, Becca, Nars, Stage Line, Clinique, L'Oreal, Maybelline, Christian Dior and Shiseido. Glow Studios are not liable for any skin irritations or reactions due to the use of any make-up or beauty products. Glow Studios will only make suggestions, but do not make any personal recommendations on products or applications. How you choose to interpret the information suggested is your responsibility. Products ordered through Glow Studios will be priced accordingly and purchased upon receipt of goods. At least 2 weeks is required to place product orders. All products are due to availability of stock. All prices quoted on products include GST.

6.Bookings – Glow Studios do not HOLD bookings for clients. All bridal bookings are tentative regardless of pre-trial bookings. Our "first in-best dressed" policy is to accept the booking that offers their holding deposit first. Glow Studios reserve the right to accept or decline all bookings due to availability.  Glow Studios are committed to servicing as many brides and their parties on the same day within reason. Booking times are at the convenience and discretion of Glow Studios, especially where multiple, separate bookings on the same day apply. These booking times are not guaranteed and are subject to being rescheduled with prior agreed notice to the client. Weekday bookings are for Pre-Shoot appointments only and are charged at the Pre-Shoot rate. A pre-shoot booking should not be mistaken for a trial booking. We suggest that trial bookings be arranged for weekends only, as weekday trial bookings will also be charged at the pre-shoot rate.

7.Minimum Bookings – During the peak seasons, January through April, and September through December, minimum bookings apply. The minimum booking consists of 1 bride plus 2 bridesmaids, or, 1 bride, 1 bridesmaid and 1 mother. Due to these busy periods,  bookings less than the minimum will incur a $50 minimum booking surcharge, payable on the day.

8.Public Holidays – All public holiday bookings will incur a $50 surcharge of which 50% is payable at the time of placing a holding deposit.

9.Deposits – A deposit of $100 for bride-only bookings, and 50% deposit for bridal-party bookings is required to hold a bridal booking. Failure to pay this holding deposit will result in a tentative booking being forfeited by another booking and furthermore, cancelled, regardless of any pre-trial bookings. Glow Studios reserve the right to accept or decline any booking with a deposit. Deposits are payable at any time. All deposits are non-refundable upon cancellation. A deposit acts as confirmation of a booking, an invoice is supplied for proof.

10.Forfeit Bookings – Where there are multiple tentative bookings with the same time slot, only one holding deposit will be accepted. Due to this, some bookings may be forfeited causing cancellation. Once a deposit is received, all other bookings with the same time slot will be notified via the contact details provided to us. It is up to the client to reschedule another available time slot. Glow Studios will not be held liable for any cancellations, even after the completion of a pre-trial booking where a deposit was not arranged. It is solely the clients responsibility to confirm their booking at anytime with a 50% holding deposit.

11.Travel – Glow Studios make-up artists will travel to you at the pre-arranged location. Travel charges do apply to all bookings. Travel fee is $100 within the city CBD, and from $30 for all city metropolitan areas, depending on location. Travel price will be included in our quotation once the booking form is submitted to us. In the event that additional travel is required (eg. From hair salon to residence, in order to complete the job), extra charges may also apply. Glow Studios reserve the right to decline additional travel if it is not within reason. This decision is at the discretion of Glow Studios.

12.Parking Arrangements – We do not allow for parking costs in our general pricing. All bookings held within hotel/motel locations are required to pre-arrange hotel valet parking for a Glow Studios vehicle, and at no charge. Glow Studios should also be advised of any difficult parking locations prior, and where appropriate arrangements cannot be made and parking must be paid for, all costs involved will be charged immediately to the client, of which is also payable on the day. 

13.Guarantee – At Glow Studios you are guaranteed the same make-up artist that consulted with you at your trial, unless due to injury, illness or other emergency, they are unable to attend. In the event that this may occur, the client will be informed and a replacement make-up artist will be made available upon agreement (your trial consultation profile will be obtained and followed by the replacement). Where a replacement is not available, in this case Glow Studios will not be held liable, we will refund all money paid, including your deposit. The successful rectification or resolution of any dispute, shall not negate the obligation of the client to adhere to the original terms of trade.

14.Cancellations – In the event that you may need to cancel your booking, we must charge cancellation fees to cover our costs. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. In this case a 25% cancellation fee will be charged to tentative bookings cancelled within one month of booking, of which no deposit has been paid, also of which we reserve the right not to refund full deposits or holding deposits from time of payment for confirmed bookings, as all paid deposits are non-refundable. These cancellation fees apply to all bookings except trial bookings. Glow Studios reserve the right to cancel bookings where a deposit is not paid. 

15.Confirmation – It is the responsibility of the client to contact their make-up artist to confirm all bookings. It is recommended that the client make confirmation at least two weeks prior to the booking date. Failure to confirm may result in us following or using incorrect details. On most occasions a Glow Studios representative will contact you to confirm all booking details.

16.Maintenance – It is important to us at Glow Studios that, only the highest quality products are used so re-application is kept to a minimum. No responsibility taken on behalf of Glow Studios for customer maintenance. Additional maintenance may be suggested, however it is up to each individual client to use this information to achieve the best results possible. Many products are made available for purchase at the expense of the client.

17.Photographic Finish – We advise you incorporate a trial make-up in conjunction with a pre-shoot with your chosen photographer, thus allowing you to view the photos and help with making any changes to your final “look”. Professional photos will differ to D.I.Y photos. As cameras record colours differently to how we see them, and with such a high demand placed on the products for performance, we at Glow Studios insist on using only the highest quality products that are produced in accordance with camera technology. We feel confident that the products we use will provide excellent skin compatibility with faithful colour and good intensity. From our experience, the products performance is extremely reliable and safe.

18.Satisfaction – Glow Studios are committed to ensuring the personal satisfaction of all clients. Trials are recommended to assist in the final results and to guarantee a repeat result. Slight variations to repeat applications may occur due to lighting, however every step is taken to ensure the closest possible resemblance to the trial. It is up to the client to advise Glow Studios immediately if the make-up is unsuitable, and needs to be rectified. Without a trial run, we will not be held liable for disappointment. However, we will ensure to correct or rectify the problem to the best of our ability, within the time required. Client satisfaction is our number one priority.  

19.Refunds – We do not refund under any circumstances, except where a replacement make-up artist is not available, in this case Glow Studios will not be held liable.

20.Porfolio Pictures – The photos displayed in our before and after portfolio have not been taken by a professional photographer but by our make-up artist using a standard 35mm SLR camera. They have not been enhanced or manipulated in any way. All shots have been taken willingly of actual clients, not paid models. We believe it is important to show our potential clients the true professional possibilities of our make-up application. All photos remain the copyright of Glow Studios. We reserve the right to remove or add photos on our website without prior notice.

21.Photo Images – All before and after photos taken by Glow Studios are intended solely for reference or use within our on-line portfolio or marketing and/or promotional materials. Glow Studios approach each client for permission prior to any picture taken, and a verbal agreement followed by posed photographs is evident of consent. Clients have the right to decline before or after photographs at any time, no client is forced to have their before or after picture taken. All before and after photographs are taken on verbal agreement only, and are done so willingly by the client. Photographs taken during trial bookings belong solely to Glow Studios as reference,  and under no circumstances will these images be produced to clients neither by email or print. All images are the property of Glow Studios and engaging the services of Glow Studios is deemed to constitute consent for Glow Studios to use any image taken at our discretion. All photos/images remain the copyright of Glow Studios.

Changes to Our Policy, Terms & Conditions
Glow Studios reserves the right to change this policy at any time, so please re-visit this page as often as you wish. Changes to this privacy policy, terms and conditions are effective at the time they are posted to this site.
